Job description
Referment is working with one of the world's top performing hedge funds who have formed a new software engineering team, tasked to rebuild their all of their trade management systems. The company have increased their assets under management significantly over the last 5 years and successfully moved into new asset classes, meaning the complexity of their business has changed and there is a need to evolve and revamp their core front office technology stack.
They are looking for a very experienced and technically strong software engineer to work on a project which will involve redesigning and rewriting their trading systems across all asset classes. This is a Greenfield project and critical to the performance of their trading desks meaning there is huge scope for impact and growth in this role.
The successful candidate should have extensive experience building distributed systems and very strong OO programming skills to be considered for this role. There will be direct interaction with the business so the successful applicant must have proven experience dealing with stakeholders and working on business critical systems/projects.
Key Requirements
Strong OO programming skills (ideally C#, but other languages will be considered)
In depth knowledge of software architecture and computer science fundamentals
Proven experience with distributed systems and distributed messaging technologies
Experience with cloud, container and micro service infrastructures
Knowledge of financial markets (desirable, but not essential)
