Referment have partnered with a global hedge fund who have some of the greatest technologists and traders in the world. They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Trading Operations Engineer to join their US team (either in New York or Stamford) and work in a small, responsible for supporting the discretionary and systematic trading applications across multiple asset classes.
This is a hands on, technical position and you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for their systematic trading flow as well as working on projects related to improving automation standards and deployments for the team. The successful candidate must have strong scripting skills and extensive experience with Unix/Linux as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.
This is a chance for a senior engineer to step up into a lead position. Working in a small team and fast paced environment, the work will be both varied and impactful and you get the opportunity to work on the latest technologies.

Key Requirements
- 5 years + in an electronic trading support role
- Excellent product knowledge in either Equities, Futures, FX or Fixed Income markets
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Extensive scripting experience with either Python or Bash
- In depth knowledge of SQL
- Working knowledge of FIX protocol
