Referment is working closely with a global Hedge Fund who are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join their London technology team. This firm is a multi-strategy Hedge Fund that offer an award winning culture and thrive on utilising the latest technologies and best tech infrastructure solutions to impact innovative trading strategies across the global markets.
This role will require excellent SQL Server skills to manage their SQL Server estate. It is essential that the applicant has experience across multiple database technologies from MongoDB, Postgres and be familiar with tools like SnowFlake. This role will see the successful DBA champion the Big Data infrastructure from managing, troubleshooting, performance tuning and making architectural and data design decisions. This role will involve cloud migration responsibilities as they are looking to host on AWS too.

Key Requirements:
- An experienced DBA with commercial experience in Financial Services
- Proficient in SQL Server and Postgres
- Experience in Cloud Migrations (AWS)
- Strong managing, troubleshooting and performance tuning Big Data solutions
- Experienced with multiple database technologies
- Experience with Linux/Centos/Scripting
- Knowledge of change control, data security, disaster recovery and compliance
