Referment have an exciting opportunity available with a leading quantitative hedge fund for an experienced Linux Engineer with low latency trading expertise. Working in a small infrastructure team, the successful Linux Engineer will be working on the design, implementation and maintenance of their highly reliable Linux infrastructure which is used for systematic trading and quantitative research.
This is an engineering heavy role and the successful applicant should have a strong understand of Ansible and scripting to automate operational tasks. You will be working on a number of co-located servers as well as their core virtualisation, containerization and storage platforms used across the business.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience architecting and implementing solutions leveraging RHEL operating systems
Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems (ideally RHCE or RHCA certified)
In depth knowledge of performance and kernel tuning in a low latency trading environment
Extensive experience with Ansible and one of more scripting language such as Bash or Python.
Understanding of DevOps principles
Hands on experience with one or more of the following technologies; Kubernetes, AWS, VMware, EMC platforms (desirable)
