Lead Application Support Engineer

Referment have partnered with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund who have some of the greatest traders and portfolio managers in the world. After a number of years of strong performance, they are expanding their technology team and going through an exciting period of expansion in London and as such, looking for a Lead Application Support Engineer for their systematic trading business in this region.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of Application Support Engineers in London who provide technical support for the front office applications on their their ultra low latency, systematic trading desks. As well as leading and coaching the team, you will be fully hands on from a technical standpoint and be responsible for overseeing product implementations and holding relationships with 3rd parties and senior portfolio managers within the business as part of this role.

Key Requirements 

• Extensive experience providing technical support for low latency trading applications for hedge funds, banks or software vendors
• In depth knowledge of systematic trading and various asset classes including equities 
• Experience leading teams and excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL across various database implementations
• Extensive experience with scripting languages such as Python and Powershell
