A global leading Hedge Fund that have built an impressive data platform that helps drive their efficient trade strategies are growing their Web Scraping division by hiring a Head of Web Scraping for their London office. The value of web scraping is being utilised by their investors and therefore they're focussing on building a state-of-the-art web scraping platform.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data enthusiast with experience in leading teams to manage on-shore and off-shore teams of engineers and play a pivotal role in architecting, designing distributed data systems and champion the development of web scraping robots for this platform. This will not require you to code, but have good experience in this field to lead the team. You will be required to apply the best practices, participate in code reviews and deal with senior stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
5+ years experience with Python and SQL databases
Strong experience in web scraping
Worked with distributed data systems from design, architecting and building
At least 3 years experience in leading technical teams
Managed on-shore and off-shore teams
Strong experience with AWS
