Job description

Referment is working with a global leading Hedge Fund that have successfully outperformed their competitors within the buy-side markets and are continuing their organic growth. They are seeking a Head of Market Data Development to join their London HQ and oversee their Market Development Team. This is a pivotal role to champion their next-gen data platform, leading a team of skilled Market Data developers and partner with their leading Quant Trading business.

This is an awesome opportunity for a technology leader with proven experience in Market Data to work with an elite team in the Hedge Fund world who take pride in using the best technology and big promoters of cloud computing. You will be responsible for championing their data platform, which is used across Equities, Macro, Fixed-Income and Commodities. You will be in direct contact with the business and be building real-time data streaming systems using market data feed handlers.

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years experience leading market data developers
  • Proven experience in developing market data handlers from major exchanges (ICE, CME, Redline, etc)
  • Solid experience with networking protocol like TCP/IP & UDP Multicast
  • A background in C++ development
  • Computer Science Degree 
  • Experience with KDB or OneTick - Advantageous
