Referment is working closely with a leading Multi-Strategy Hedge fund with offices all over the world utilising the best technology, research and investment professionals to create maximum returns from their trading strategies. They are seeking a Director of Macro Data to join their London team to work as an engineering manager for their data team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of approximately 15 data engineers/analysts and work with senior stakeholders and own this platform. This role will see you act as a technical lead, mentoring junior data engineers/developers and collaborate with other areas of the business. They use the latest technologies and are looking for subject matter experts in using big data technologies from Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Pandas, NumPy, CI/CD pipelines and more.

Key Requirements:
- Strong Engineering Management/Leadership skills
- Expert knowledge of Python
- Strong knowledge on AWS and technologies associated with this cloud platform
- Passionate about moulding the greatest data platform
- Keen on working with senior stakeholders within a buy-side firm
- Experienced in working within the Macro space (Fixed Income and/or FX)
- Have obtained a degree in Comp Science or STEM styled subject
