Head of Engineering

Referment have partnered with a global financial services business to find a Head of Engineering to lead their flagship technology business. 

The Head of Engineering will be responsible for working closely with architecture, distributed development teams and business units to continuously improve the functionality and performance of client facing systems. 

The head of engineering role will have a main focus on front-end development for the businesses flagship multi-asset class trading platform that is used by global trading organisations. 

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years' experience leading front-end focused software engineering teams and experience in these areas:

• Strong development skills using C#, Python, Java etc but with very good knowledge of React and Redux
• Excellent leadership skills but a desire to also be hands on and lead by example
• Experience working with messaging protocols and knowledge of electronic trading systems and multi-asset class systems
