A leading technology driven hedge fund, known to be at the forefront of technology and innovation have an exciting opportunity available in their London based production support team for a bright and enthusiastic Desktop Support Engineer. The company has successfully ventured into new asset classes and due to a number of years of strong performance and headcount growth, they are looking to expand the desktop support team to accommodate this.
The successful Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for users at all levels within the fund, including traders, portfolio managers, quants and C-level stakeholders. This will include taking ownership of all of their Office 365 applications, desktop technologies and various mobile/video devices used across the organisation.
The successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to build relationships with users and other colleagues within the technology teams. You will be responsible for handling incidents, working with vendors, understanding business requirements and making suggestions for improvements across the technology stack.
Key Requirements

Key Requirements
- 2- 5 years of experience working in a Desktop Support role (ideally within financial services, but not essential)
- Expert knowledge of Office 365 applications
- In depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks and applications
- Familiarity with data and automation tools such as Powershell
- Strong knowledge of desktop, office devices and network troubleshooting skills (Telephony, Internet, Audio Video etc)
