A global leading Hedge Fund that have some of the greatest Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Professionals and Technologists are growing due to their consistently strong performances. They are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their centralised data team, working directly with investment teams to provide a steady stream of data pipelines which will enable the business to make good investments decisions.
The role will involve building cloud first data ingestion processes, data models and systems to ensure smooth day to day operations for hundreds of data sets. The successful candidate should have strong programming skills and experience with orchestrating pipelines with tools such as Airflow, Luigi and Oozie.

Key Requirements
- Strong object orientated programming skills (ideally in Python)
- Extensive experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Luigi or Oozie.
- Knowledge of Big Data Technologies (Spark/Hive/Hadoop)
- In depth knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP (desirable)
