Job description

Referment is working with a global leading Hedge Fund in London that are delivering a world class commodities trading arm using innovative trading strategies and cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a commodities market data developer to take control of the Market Data systems and integrate into their live PnL system.

This is a great opportunity for a software engineer with Commodities Market Data knowledge and ideally Python development experience. Experience with C# will be considered too. This is an important role within this commodities division that is vital for growing their business. 

The successful applicant will champion building out multiple market data systems, work closely with data vendors and work closely with some strong engineers in delivering scalable systems from static data systems to real-time streaming systems.

Key Requirements For This Role:
  • 3+ years from a software engineering background
  • Degree in computer science or similar 
  • Expert Python programming experience
  • Commodities Market Data knowledge
  • AWS experience
  • SQL and PostgreSQL experience
Advantageous but not essential:
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or Refinitiv products
