Referment are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our clients growing sales team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting and qualifying inbound leads. This is a fast-paced, meeting-generating and quota-carrying role that requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales.
What You’ll Do
Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and social media channels to generate new business opportunities
Qualify inbound leads and pass them on to the appropriate sales team member
Conduct research to understand a prospect's business needs and pain points and tailor messaging accordingly
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly targets
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities
Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting
Collaborate with other teams at Beacon such as product, engineering, support, and implementation
Keep accurate records of all prospecting activities in the CRM system
Attendance at industry conferences for networking and lead generation
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
What We’re Looking For
2 years previous experience in a sales or business development role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and G-Suite
Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LeadIQ, ZoomInfo, and other SDR tools
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Must be willing to go into the office when needed
What Will Make You Stand Out
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience in the Energy, Commodity, and Financial sector, and knowledge of current events impacting the industry
Interest in financial technology, cloud, database technology, and financial markets
