Job description
Referment is working with a leading investment management firm who are looking for a new hire in their infrastructure team in London. As the company grows due to strong performances on the business side, the team are looking for an experienced Linux and Database Automation Engineer to come in and be responsible for building out their mission critical Linux estate, driving the adoption of automation and new DevOps technologies and also supporting some of their open source database environment which consists of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
This role will involve working on a large Linux environment that supports the systematic trading desks across multiple asset classes and as such, the successful candidate will ideally have worked in a trading environment and have extensive experience with scripting and various automation tools.
The team are transiting into a more cloud and DevOps heavy tools stack so experience with AWS, Terraform and CI/CD would be highly beneficial.

Key Requirements
- Strong Linux Administration & Engineering Skills (RHEL & CentOS preferred)
- Good database administration experience with open source databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Extensive scripting experience (Bash/Python)
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools
- Knowledge of Terraform
