Referment is working with a leading hedge fund who have an exciting new role available for a Lead Production Engineer to join their London technology team. This is a hands on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction and workloads for the Production Engineer team, a team responsible for supporting all of the business applications across the entire fund.

The successful applicant must have a strong background in Application Support and have strong technical skills, especially with scripting and automation. As well as day to day support, you will be responsible for tactical development to improve tooling, monitoring workflows and automation. This role will involve direct interaction with traders, portfolio managers and senior stakeholders across the business so strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required for this position.

Key Requirements

Expert scripting skills with Powershell, Bash, Python etc.
Extensive experience with SQL
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting business critical applications
Knowledge of systems administration and experience working with Linux/Windows
Good leadership skills and experience managing a support team
