Job description
A leading hedge fund in London are looking to hire a Software Engineer with extensive stream processing and data streaming skills. Working in an innovative R&D development team, the successful candidate will work across a number of different development teams within the technology function and be responsible for developing and implementing various Big Data and Real Time applications within the environnment.
The goal of this team is to improve scalability across the various systems used by the business and both research and implement new technologies in the environment. A lot of the development work is done using Java and Scala but this role would suit a Software Engineer who is open to using various programming languages and has strong experience with data streaming tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink and also experience working on distributed systems.
