Referment is working with a small, high performing hedge fund who have an exciting role available in London for a Cyber Security Lead. The successful candidate will come into a brand new role for company, report into the CTO and be responsible for driving cybersecurity best practices, policies and procedures to improve the companies cybersecurity capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience implementing and maintaining cyber security policies, mitigating security threats and using scripting languages to automate operational processes. Although this role is a senior role and has scope to be a leadership position, the successful candidate must be fully hands on from a security perspective and enjoy being very close to the technology.
This is a chance to come into a brand new role for a leading financial institution and make a huge impact with the work you will be doing. You will be working closely with other department leads, stakeholders and third parties in this role, meaning there is a lot of scope for autonomy and progression whilst working for a growing company with a great technology stack.

Key Requirements
- 7 years + experience working in cybersecurity engineering
- Strong experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Excellent incident response knowledge
- Ability to identify and manage cybersecurity risks/threats
- Strong scripting skills with languages such as Python and/or Powershell
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
