Application Support Engineer

Referment have an exciting opportunity available with one of the worlds leading hedge funds, known to have some of the greatest traders and portfolio managers. They are looking for an Application Support Engineer to work on their equities trading desk in London, a front office role that involves working directly with the investment teams to provide technical support for all of their trading systems.

The successful applicant must have extensive front office application support experience within equities trading working for an investment bank or hedge fund. Equities business knowledge alongside strong technical skills are required in order to be considered for this position.

This is a chance to join a leading hedge fund who have had a number of years of strong performance. You will get the opportunity to work in a highly technical role with great technologies, whilst getting exposure to the front office in a small team with a flat structure. 

Key Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a front office application support role within the financial markets space 
• Strong knowledge of equities and listed products
• Extensive experience with Linux and Windows operating systems 
• Strong scripting skills with languages such as Python, Powershell and Bash
• In depth knowledge of SQL and databases
